From the makers of the most reliable engines on planet earth - back in 1969, Honda released their first transverse-mounted, inline-four cylinder engine. Credited as being one of the first true “superbikes,” the CB750 was born out of Honda's clear obsession with getting into the American market, and needless to say - It worked.

The CB750 is highly regarded as being one of the best performing bikes for the price range at the time, giving impressive performance with a maintained top speed of 120mph. This was due to the inline four engine Honda had worked so well to manufacture, and that engine is still used to this day.

Comprising of front mounted disk brakes, electric start, and a killswitch were firsts for the bike market, and paved a way for the bikes to come.

The use of the overhead camshaft meant that the increased performance of the valve train made it one hell of a bike to keep, maintain, and ultimately, thrash around some B roads - Not that you'd be getting a knee down in 1969, But you wouldn't want to, helmets weren't a legal requirement.
